Basically, this program searches every file or program on a computer to find viruses (so your computer doesn't die...or crash). Then, it will attempt to fix any problems it finds.

Voila, the computer is virus free!
Antivirus software protects your computer as far as possible. No antivirus is perfect how ever much you pay. As new virus are being produced all the time. There are thousands of virus around.Whatever antivirus programme you choose it has to be updated with a new download at least weekly. The people who produce these programmes ar continually adding things to them to block each new virus found. Unfortunately the people producing the virus are just one step ahead. Until the virus is produced there is no antidote for it.

A virus is something made by a malicious person to attack and corrupt your computer. They think it is clever but many virus cause thousands of dollars worth of damage. Destroy peoples work and computers and cause great grief. Thankfully more and more are getting caught and heavily fined and losing their computers.

Never! Never! run without an Anti virus.

There is no excuse!!!!!!! if you cannot afford one, many are free!!!!!!!! Some virus can use your computer to attack other peoples. Also nowadays you need anti spyware ie. Spybot Search and Destroy from Safer networking, and ad-aware from Lavasoft.You can put several other things on for protection like ccleaner but ONLY ONE Anti-virus
