I'm thinking of dumping Norton and changing to AVG / Zonealarm. The question is do I have to remove everything Norton first and risk going online unprotected? Also as it came with my BT Yahoo package will this cause any problems. My poor old machine only has 124kb of ram and 9.5 gig!

It would be advisable to download AVG to a location such as your desktop but don't run it, then remove Norton, then run the AVG. There will be minimal time delay that you go unprotected and by having the program already on your computer, you do not need to go searching the internet for it.

I recommend Kaspersky software. Soon after I downloaded the product to my computer it immediatley found 20 viruses Norton did not detect !

Download avg/zone alarm to desk top,Then go to norton website for removal tool download that as well,Disconnect from internet remove norton and install avg/zone alarm restart computer and away you go.
Just do it.........do it do it do it!!
BUT......dont be surprised if you still find 'syntax' crap all over your PC. Some of it cant be unistalled so easy. It pee'd me right off when I did it.
