I currently have Norton 360 version 2.0. My computer has Windows XP.

and I want to replace it with Windows Live OneCare.

How do I do this? Do I uninstall Norton first and then Install Windows Live OneCare or vice versa, or does it not matter?

Uninstall Norton first, restart the computer, and the install Windows Live OneCare.

Having two Antivirus softwares at the same time will cause a conflict; for example, Norton quarentees a virus that it found, OneCare scans that file, thinking that Norton is a virus, so it'll try to remove that. You see where this is going.

Bottom line, goto Start -%26gt; Programs -%26gt; Norton [product name] -%26gt; Uninstall. You can also uninstall from Start -%26gt; Control Panel -%26gt; Add or Remove Programs -%26gt; Select Norton [product name], and uninstall it. Restart the computer (it'll ask you anyways), and install OneCare

You only want to have one anti virus on your computer at any given time. To switch them just uninstall your current one, which by any given means is not a good one, and then install the new one. Beware however that nortons tenticals run deep in your computer so make sure to uninstall every part of it.
